NEW Zero Waste Program – a Vancouver Green Hotel
Cascadia Hotel & Suites is committed to programs and best practices that support hotel associates, the environment and our local community. Our hotel’s Zero Waste Program is a new way of looking at our waste stream. Instead of seeing used materials as garbage in need of disposal, discards are seen as valuable resources. A pile of trash represents jobs, financial opportunity, and raw materials for new products. Service containers are located throughout the hotel for three streams of materials: mixed container recycling, organic recycling containers and alternative recovery. In February, the hotel was rebranded from the Residence Inn by Marriott to Cascadia Hotel & Suites.
